Celebrities supporting what we do

The CHFO is honoured to get voluntary support by celebrities who help us promoting our work. It is therefore our great pleasure to welcome below persons as our CHFO ambassadors. Every ambassador represents one discipline important to us.

SCIENCE: The discipline is represented by PROF. ERWIN NEHER who won the Nobel Prize 1991 in medicine for the discovery and invention of the patch-clamp technolgy, which allowed for the first time the analysis of single ion channel currents in real time.

SPORTS: The discipline is represented by SIMONE NIGGLI-LUDER who is a very successful Swiss athlete. During her sports career she won 23x the World Championship gold medals. She was also the winner of the Swiss sportswoman of the year in 2003, 2005 and 2007.

We are convinced they can shine a special spotlight on the key issues concerning ion channel diseases and help the CHFO achieve it’s mission “From Science to Patients” to promote the establishment of an integrative knowledge base for channelopathies.
